The Memphis Grizzlies interviewed former Phoenix Suns head coach Igor Kokoskov for their vacant head coaching position, according to a report from ESPN on Saturday. Kokoskov was fired after one season in Phoenix, as the Suns finished with the worst record in the Western Conference, 19-63. Kokoskov, a 47-year-old native of Serbia, made history last fall when he became the first person born and raised outside of North America to serve as an NBA head coach. He previously was an NBA assistant coach with the Los Angeles Clippers (2000-03), Detroit Pistons (2003-08), Suns (2008-13), Cleveland Cavaliers (2013-14), Orlando Magic (2014-2015) and Utah Jazz (2015-18). The Grizzlies reportedly have interviewed three other candidates: Golden State Warriors assistant coach Jarron Collins, Utah Jazz assistant Alex Jensen and EuroLeague coach Sarunas Jasikevicius. Memphis, which has the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft, is looking to replace J.B. Bickerstaff, who was fired after posting a 48-97 record in two seasons. --Field Level Media
