Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer expertly trolls Ohio State fans (Video)

Though he’s wearing red here, Chad Smith is a big Michigan Wolverines fan.

Even though the season is still months away (hurry up, offseason!), there’s always time for trash talk.

Take Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith for example.

At a tour stop over the weekend in Columbus, Ohio, Smith, a Michigan native, did his best to rile up the locals by singing UM’s fight song in front of a packed house of Buckeyes fans at Value City Arena on Ohio State’s campus.

It didn’t take long for the boos to rain down on Smith, who also has a Michigan logo on his kick drum. That is some grade A trolling.

Well done. Only 193 days until the Wolverines and Buckeyes meet on the field once again, but who’s counting?
