Real Sociedad trio left out of squad for Maccabi clash

La Liga outfit Real Sociedad are set to be without three important players, for the club’s upcoming return to the continent.

La Real are of course primed to kick their Europa League campaign back into gear on Thursday, in a meeting with Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Imanol’s troops will head into proceedings still in search of their first victory of the season in Europe.

Efforts towards as much, however, as alluded to above, are set to come sans the contributions of three key members of the club’s ranks.

All of Álex Remiro, Aihen Muñoz and Igor Zubeldia have been left out of Sociedad’s squad to face Maccabi.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, the trio played their respective parts in training on Wednesday, but have not been risked for tomorrow, afforded the night off to rest by boss Imanol.

Also missing out is Arsen Zakharyan, though the news regarding Ander Barrenetxea is of a more positive nature, the 22-year-old having shaken off a minor issue suffered against Girona over the weekend.
