Real Madrid lose Mbappé to inconspicuous injury against Atalanta
Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé was forced off 10 minutes before half-time in the Champions League match between Atalanta and Madrid in Bergamo on Tuesday evening, less than half an hour after the Frenchman opened the scoring.

The nature of the issue is not yet clear. Mbappe went down off the ball on the halfway line, holding onto his ankles. He was able to walk off the pitch, and then almost immediately towards the tunnel without a visible limp.

Rodrygo, who was left out of the starting line-up, was called upon to replace him with 36 minutes on the clock.
Madrid’s biggest threat against Atalanta after his goal in the 2-0 Super Cup victory back in August, it took just 10 minutes for him to get his second goal of the season against La Dea. He latched onto Brahim Diaz’s pass before dispatching into the far corner from the edge of the area.
