Ravens' Marcus Peters fined $15K for 'physical actions' toward Titans bench during logo stomp
The NFL fined Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters $15,000 for celebrating his late-game interception against the Tennessee Titans by stomping on their logo at midfield.
Peter ran to the center of Nissan Stadium during the 20-13 AFC wild-card win, spun the ball and began celebrating what was essentially the game-winning play. As many as 20 teammates, some coming off the bench, joined him there to celebrate.
Peters was the only player fined for the act, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media. The NFL reportedly levied it for “physical actions directed at the Tennessee bench.”

The interception came at the 2-minute warning and drew the Ravens a taunting penalty of 15 yards. Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he didn’t like having the penalty, but liked Peter’s passion. Franchise great Ed Reed wasn’t a fan of the move, tweeting “Love my Ravens, but win with class.”
It was the Ravens first playoff victory since 2014. The play at the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional round on Saturday night.
Peters was reportedly fined $12,500 last month for spitting in the direction of Cleveland Browns receiver Jarvis Landry. The incident was caught on video. Peters denied he intentionally spit at Landry and would have confronted him face-to-face if there was an issue.
