Ravens get nowhere on offense early vs. Jaguars

The Baltimore Ravens came into their game with the Jacksonville Jaguars in London at 2-0, having beaten the Browns and Bengals.

But since the Browns and Bengals come into Week 3 a combined 0-4, there have been some questions about how strong the Ravens are, particularly on offense.

If the first quarter of their game with Jacksonville is any indication, we have an idea. And it’s not great.

Joe Flacco and the Ravens totaled minus-1 yard (yes, minus-1) in the first quarter on Sunday, unable to get a first down and going 0-for-3 on third downs.

They went three-and-out on each of their three first-quarter possessions.

Part of that was the uneven play of Joe Flacco, who didn’t look sharp, but part of that has been the Jaguars’ defense, which continues to show that it is a legit unit. Flacco was sacked twice for a loss of 12 yards.

The Jaguars had 170 yards of offense in the first quarter, for a 10-0 lead.
