Raptors' Delon Wright fires back at Kelly Oubre after criticism

After five games, the Washington Wizards and Toronto Raptors have played an extremely tight series and the verbal jousting has begun.

Wizards small forward Kelly Oubre took a jab at Raptors guard Delon Wright for his play away from the comforts of the Air Canada Centre.

“We’re back at home,” Oubre shared with The Washington Post’s Candace Buckner. “Just like Delon doesn’t play well anywhere else, you know, other than at home,”

Naturally, those comments rubbed Wright the wrong way and the Raptors point guard responded on Thursday.

“I mean, that’s his opinion,” Delon Wright said to Josh Lewenberg of TSN. “I didn’t play as good as I did at home there, but he made it seem like I was just a total bust. We’ll see in Game 6.”

Lewenberg also reported that Wright said under his breath “I’ve got a quote ready for (Oubre) after we win,” as the Raptors bench member walked away.

Needless to say, Game 6 is shaping up to be an extremely spirited bout between these two rivals.
