Ranieri responsible for dismissing Roma’s new psychologist
The latest news from Trigoria suggest Claudio Ranieri took matters into his own hands and dismissed Roma’s new psychologist, Tim Coates.
After only 20 days at the club, Tim Coates left Roma without having his contract extended.
The decision, reports La Repubblica, was taken by Ranieri himself.
Coates was brought to the club by Mark Sertori, the Giallorossi’s new head of performance, given his experience at Manchester City.
The objective was for Coates to work on the team’s mindset.
Ranieri, however, did not share this opinion.
Since his arrival in Trigoria, Ranieri banned the psychologist from being present during training and on the sidelines during the away match in Naples.
After a while, it became clear that keeping Coates any longer would have been a disservice to both him and the team. Thus, his contract was not extended.
