QMJHL Roundup: Mikhail Abramov leads Tigres over Huskies to advance

VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Mikhail Abramov scored the winner 1:18 into overtime, and the Victoriaville Tigres edged the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 1-0 on Monday to win their first-round series in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League playoffs.

Abramov's goal gave Victoriaville its third straight win to take the best-of-five set 3-0.

Nikolas Hurtubise stopped all 20 shots his way to earn the shutout for the Tigres.

Samuel Richard kicked out 29-of-30 shots for the Huskies.



CHICOUTIMI, Que. — Pierrick Dube had three goals and four points while Dawson Mercer scored once and set up two more as the Sagueneens toppled Sherbrooke to sweep their best-of-five first-round series 3-0.



SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Mavrik Bourque potted a hat trick before tacking on an assist, and Vasily Ponomarev added a pair of goals as the Cataractes beat Rimouski for a 2-1 lead in their best-of-five first-round set. Game 4 goes Wednesday.
