QMJHL Roundup: Mathias Laferriere's four-point effort leads Armada over Huskies

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Mathias Laferriere had two goals and two assists, and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada used a four-goal first period to down the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 6-1 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Miguel Tourigny and Christopher Merisier-Ortiz each added a goal and three assists as Blainville-Boisbriand picked up its third consecutive victory.

Simon Pinard and Mikael Denis rounded out the offence for the Armada (12-2-0), who got 25 saves from Olivier Adam.

Xavier Bouchard was the lone skater to beat Adam for the Huskies (10-9-3), who had their win streak snapped at three games.

Samuel Richard stopped 41-of-47 shots for Rouyn-Noranda.
