QMJHL Roundup: Jakob Pelletier leads Foreurs over Voltigeurs for eighth straight win

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Jakob Pelletier scored twice on the power play as part of a three-goal first period, and the Val-d'Or Foreurs blanked the Drummondville Voltigeurs 5-0 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.

Justin Robidas added a pair of goals to help Val-d'Or extend its win streak to eight games.

Nathan Legare had a goal and an assist while Joanthan Lemieux and William Blackburn split time in net to earn the shutout for the Foreurs (29-3-4).

Lemieux started and made 14 saves in two period of work before Blackburn took over for the third and stopped all 10 shots his way.

Francesco Lapenna kicked out 33-of-38 shots for the Voltigeurs (18-11-5).
