QMJHL Roundup: Foreurs' Pelletier scores twice, SO winner, in win over Huskies

ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. — Val D'Or Foreurs forward Jakob Pelletier scored twice, and added the shootout-winning goal, in a 4-3 win over the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies in Rouyn-Noranda Saturday afternoon.

Pelletier scored the first goal of the game 26 seconds into the contest to give his team an early 1-0 lead. After another Foreurs (3-1-2) goal from Edouard St-Laurent, Val D'Or allowed three unanswered goals from Rouyn-Noranda (1-4-1). 

The Quebec City native then tied the game with seven seconds remaining in the game, leveling the score at 3-3. Pelletier would later score the only goal in the shootout.

Alex Beaucage, Xavier Bouchard and Alex Labbé scored for the Huskies. Jonathan Lemieux turned away 34 shots for Val-d'Or. Zachary Emond made 26 saves for Rouyn-Noranda. 

Rouyn-Noranda outshot Val-d'Or 37-29.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. -- Nicholas Girouard scored twice and Charlie DesRoches tacked on three assists to lead the Sea Dogs (2-3-3) over Cape Breton (4-6-0).
