Protestors hang 'Impeach Trump' sign at Nationals Park after opening day win

The Washington Nationals may have pulled off a dramatic, come-from-behind 4-2 victory Monday against the Miami Marlins, but not every fan was happy following the game. As crowds were leaving the ballpark, a group of protesters hung a sign that read “Impeach Trump #Resist” over a railing in the stadium.

The sign did not appear during the contest, and was not featured on any broadcast. If you look at the scoreboard in the above picture, you’ll notice it reads “Nats win,” meaning the protestors waited until the game to act.

A Nationals spokesperson told The Stew the banner was taken down by security.

“The banner that was unfurled after the game violates our guest conduct policy. It was promptly confiscated by security.”

If the protestors were hoping Donald Trump would see the sign, they’ll have to hope Trump catches it on the news. The President was not at Nationals Park. He declined a request from the team to throw out the first pitch.

Given that the incident took place in Washington, D.C., it wouldn’t be a surprise if the President does get a glimpse at what some locals think of his work thus far. We’ll know when that happens, as Trump is no stranger to telling “haters and losers” how he feels on Twitter.
