Princess Eugenie announced the birth of her second child with husband Jack Brooksbank in a touching Instagram post today.

The royal posted a sweet photo of her baby son wearing a blue-and-white knit cap. "Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs," she wrote in the caption. Ernest's middle name is a nod to Eugenie and Brooksbank's grandparents. The princess added, "He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald."

The couple previously welcomed their first child—August Philip Hawke Brooksbank—back in February 2021.

In the same Instagram post, Eugenie included a photo of August doting over his new little brother in his bassinet. He sweetly pats Ernest's head as the baby sleeps. Eugenie added, "Augie is loving being a big brother already. 💙❤️💙❤️"

Eugenie previously announced her second pregnancy this past January.

She again dropped the news via Instagram, sharing a sweet photo of herself and then-one-year-old August hugging her growing baby bump. Brooksbank shot the adorable picture.

"We're so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer," she captioned the picture.

"Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child this summer," Buckingham Palace said in a statement at the time, according to People. "The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother."

Ernest is now 13th in line to the British throne, following immediately after big brother August.
