Preston North End: Match officials announced
The match officials for Leeds United’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Preston North End on Saturday have been announced, with John Busby set to take charge at Deepdale.
Having served as an EFL Assistant Referee for almost a decade, Busby was named as a Select Group 2 referee prior to the 2021/22 campaign and has since gone one to officiate over 250 matches in the English Football League.
Busby has been in the middle for just one fixture involving the Whites to date – last season’s 3-2 victory at Carrow Road – where Daniel Farke’s side came from two goals behind to beat Norwich City.
Preston, meanwhile, have enjoyed strong form when Busby has overseen their fixtures, winning five of 10 matches and losing just twice. Last time out however, the Lilywhites fell to a 3-1 defeat to Portsmouth at Fratton Park.
Busby has made 14 appearances in total so far this campaign, taking charge of 13 games in the Sky Bet Championship and one Carabao Cup tie between Wycombe Wanderers and Aston Villa.
