Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Carlos Miguel from Corinthians.

He joins for a reported £3.4m fee, according to The Athletic, and is the club’s third summer signing after Eliot Anderson and Eric da Silva Moreira.

It is expected that Miguel will challenge Matz Sels for the gloves, with Forest open to offers for Matt Turner, and has signed a four-year deal.

Another goalkeeper, Odysseas Vlachodimos, has already departed for Newcastle.

Standing at 6’8, the Brazilian is also set to hold the distinction of being the Premier League’s tallest player next season.
