A pedestrian was killed in a car accident when he was hit by a driver in Grand Prairie on Tuesday night on Belt Line Road, according to a news release from police.
A car traveling north on Belt Line Road hit the pedestrian as he was trying to cross the road outside a cross walk, according to police. The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators and authorities do not expect to file any criminal charges.
The man who was hit around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday was taken to a hospital, where he died.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the man killed in the crash after next-of-kin has been notified.
