In the battle of Connor McDavid versus Patrik Laine, there is one thing that Laine will have over McDavid – a personality.

Laine has yet to have the fun beat out of him by the league. He’s reminiscent of Alex Ovechkin when he first entered the NHL both in personality and shot on the power play.

Hell of a slapper by Laine.

That’s not even the best part, though. It’s the flourish at the end that’s so undeniably Laine.

Sure, it’s no Teemu Selanne shooting the glove out of the air, but it works for Laine’s 14th goal of the season.

In the third period, Laine scored season goal No. 15 in near identical fashion as the one in the first while the Jets were on the power play.

He was more reserved on the celebration this time. The goal brought the Jets within one of the Oilers at, 4-3.

When it was all said and done, the android (McDavid) would win this match up. His three assist night gave the Oilers the 6-3 win.
