The NHL’s incoming franchise has its armor.

The Vegas Golden Knights officially unveiled their look Tuesday night as the centerpiece of Adidas’ launch of its “Form the Future” line of redesigned jerseys for the 2017-18 NHL season.

Vegas’s home sweater features a “storm gray” base, which immediately differentiates if from the other 30 jerseys in the NHL. There are thick gold stripes (with subtle design) on the sleeves, and a thin one around the base of the sweater above black trim. The numbers are white and outlined in gold, while the name plate has simple white lettering. A red accent line completes the sleeve (and the inside of the collar), and the club’s alternative logo is patched onto the top of the shoulders.

The road jerseys have the mandatory white base. Gray replaces the black accents on the home sweaters, while the gold and red trim remains.

There’s also some finer detail on the logo:

The Knights’ helmets are gray, while the gloves are a very distinct white and gold. The pattern on the socks mirror the gold and red stripes on the sleeves.

The Golden Knights will outfit 30 players on Wednesday at the NHL Expansion Draft.

Did they nail the design?
