Best Beach in the South: Clearwater Beach in Clearwater, Florida

Known for its perfectly groomed white sand and upbeat social vibe, Florida's Clearwater Beach is where people go to have fun. Located on the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, visitors combine relaxing on the beach with water sports, beach games, live music and dining at the various restaurants and cafes along the shore. Best Beach on the West Coast: Oxnard Beach Park in Oxnard, California

Oxnard Beach Park is a palm-studded coastal park with grassy rolling dunes and a gorgeous stretch of sandy beach located in Oxnard, California. The beach is ideal for swimming, surfing and sunbathing. Popular for its lack of commercialism, expert Kristen Lummis notes, "Possibly the most undeveloped beach in California. Yes, there are private homes, but no vendors, no pressure, nothing but soft sand and rolling waves as you look west."
