Pamela Anderson attended multiple shows during this fall's Paris Fashion Week without any makeup on and with her hair minimally styled. Though it shouldn't be shocking to see a woman in the spotlight without cosmetics, it's a rarity, and the move garnered a lot of praise from fans and fashionistas happy to see someone clearly so comfortable in her own skin.
Though she hasn't sworn off makeup, it looks like this is a look Anderson's going to be making her signature, as she just turned up at another fashion event barefaced.
At the Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall in London, where she presented the Leader of Change award to Michaela Coel, the Baywatch star and animal advocate walked the red carpet with her hair pulled back into a simple ponytail and her freckles on full display.
She accentuated the clean, minimal look with an all-white outfit of a cotton T-shirt tucked into pants and a soft cream coat worn over her shoulders, the fashion way.
“Something just kind of came over me and I was dressing in these beautiful clothes and I thought, I don't want to compete with the clothes,” Pamela Anderson said of her original experiment going makeup-free in October, per People. “I'm not trying to be the prettiest girl in the room. I feel like it's just freedom. It's a release.”
She added that she was the “happiest I've ever been in my own skin” and that “beauty comes from within.” She also revealed that, after the death of her longtime makeup artist and friend in 2019, glamming up just wasn't as fun anymore.
On Instagram, Anderson shared a couple snaps of her naturally glowing face, writing, “Radiate love… 🤍.” The comments section quickly filled with fans applauding her grace and elegance in choosing to embrace her natural appearance.
“You are seriously such an icon and a mentor of sorts for me and so many other women, I’m sure,” wrote one especially moved follower. “You look stunning and not only are you making natural beauty glam again, you’re proving beauty isn’t assigned to age whatsoever. Not that you ever stopped being legendary, but your comeback these past few years hits so hard. Love you Pamela!!!!!!!”
Her two sons also expressed their love in the comments, proving again that the best things in life are not to be found in the beauty aisle.
