Yahoo Sports Paige VanZant Headlines UFC on FOX 22
Paige VanZant returns to the headliner's role at UFC on FOX 22 on Dec. 17 in Sacramento, Calif.
It will have been slightly more than a year since VanZant last headlined. She lost to Rose Namajunas last December in the UFC Fight Night 80 main event in Las Vegas.
With UFC on FOX 22, VanZant will square off with Michelle “Karate Hottie” Waterson, according to company president Dana White, who announced the bout on UFC Tonight on Wednesday.

VanZant (7-2) followed the loss to Namajunas with a stint on Dancing With the Stars, where she took second place in the dance competition. She then returned to the Octagon at UFC on FOX 21 in August, where she knocked out Bec Rawlings early in the second round.
Waterson (13-4) got her UFC tenure off to a slow start. After submitting Angela Magana at the TUF 21 Finale in July of 2015, she has spent much of the time since then nursing a knee injury.
Waterson finally returns to the Octagon in December, where she will step onto VanZant's Team Alpha Male home turf to headline the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.
