Yahoo Sports Packers coach Matt LaFleur talks up QB Jordan Love with Aaron Rodgers absent from OTAs
With Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers absent from voluntary OTAs, the focus is moving to his fellow quarterback and 2020 first-round draft pick Jordan Love. Love is at voluntary OTAs this week, showing what an offseason of work has done for his form.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was really pleased with what he saw out of Love, telling the media that he's focused on helping Love improve and not on the absent players like Rodgers.

Asked LaFleur if top WRs absence limits Jordan Love's development: "We're less concerned about maybe putting the perfect person in position, like we would in a game plan situation. It's more about being concerned we're putting Jordan in positions so he can continue to progress."

Rodgers may be absent from voluntary OTAs, but he's still making himself part of the conversation. He was on Kenny Mayne's final "SportsCenter" broadcast on Monday night, discussing the rift between him and the Packers front office. Just like LaFleur, he also had good things to say about Jordan Love.

When LaFleur was asked about Rodgers' interview, he stuck to commenting on Mayne and said absolutely nothing about Rodgers.

LaFleur did say something about Rodgers, though it was indirect and didn't mention him by name.
"We’re just going to continue to try to work through this and hopefully we can get him back in the building,” LaFleur said via ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
