Ozzy Osbourne has assured fans he will keep on performing until he is dead.

The Black Sabbath frontman has had a torrid few years from a health perspective, but has said he will only retire when he hears “them nail a lid on my box”.

The singer revealed earlier this year he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He has also endured a series of operations in the past eighteen months following a nasty fall.

But he has told fans they have not heard the last of him.

Speaking to The Mirror, Osbourne said: “You know the time when I will retire? When I can hear them nail a lid on my box. And then I’ll f***ing do an encore. I’m the Prince of Darkness.

“When you feel that audience jumping, it’s a better feeling than orgasm. It is the best love affair of my life.

“The party is on, man. I feel honoured people still want to see me.”

He also described his Parkinson’s diagnosis as “just another thing on my plate I have got to deal with” saying he is “not in the slightest bit worried about it”.

The 71-year-old told earlier this month how he thought he was dying due to the pain her was in following spinal surgery last year.

Appearing SiriusXM he told host Jenny McCarthy: "I'm not back to 100 percent. I'm about 75 percent there, but it's such a slow recovery.

"Spine surgery is bad news, man. I've been in such a bad state with pain; I'm still having a lot of pain.

"There was a point I was convinced that I was dying.

"I was in that much discomfort and pain and misery. I thought they were all hiding it from me.”

Osbourne released Ordinary Man, his twelfth solo album, earlier this month.
