Ouch! Fox sound guy gets totally run over by 329-pound Linval Joseph before game

First of all, Bernie Beaudry was a little banged up, but he was OK.

So don’t feel too bad about laughing at the clip above. Because it’s pretty much a “Wanna Get Away?” advertisement in real life.

Beaudry is one of the people on the sideline holding the large microphones on-field for Fox, and he was working the Minnesota Vikings-Arizona Cardinals game on Sunday. The Vikings came running out of the tunnel before the game, led by defensive linemen Brian Robison and Linval Joseph. Beaudry was getting to his position and got caught in traffic right as Robison and Joseph were running on.

Robison clipped Beaudry a bit and then Joseph, who is 329 pounds, just ran him over like he wasn’t there.

Fox played the blooper at halftime of the broadcast, so at least Beaudry had his 15 minutes of fame.

Considering Joseph is one of the biggest defensive tackles in the league, the damage wasn’t too bad. Broken glasses and a bloody nose, according to Brian Murphy of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, but he still worked the game. He told Murphy he was late to his spot.

“Stupidest thing in 20 years doing this job,” Beaudry told Murphy.

Robison gave Beaudry credit for working after getting eviscerated by Joseph.

At least he could laugh about the mishap, because plenty of other people who saw it got a chuckle out of it.
