Yahoo Sports Oregon offers scholarship to sixth-grader after seeing video of 40-yard touchdown pass
If you're in sixth grade and can throw an accurate 40-yard touchdown pass to a receiver in stride, you might have a chance at snagging a college scholarship. All you have to do is have a famous brother who makes sure video of your pass goes viral, according to Rivals.
Graham Simpson — 12-year-old brother of Alabama commit Ty Simpson — received a scholarship offer from Oregon after Ty sent out one of Graham's highlights. In the video, Graham throws a 40-yard touchdown pass to a receiver with impressive accuracy.

Ty tagged Alabama in the tweet, but it was Oregon who came calling for Graham. The video was reportedly viewed by Oregon offensive coordinator Joe Moorhead, who made the offer to Graham, per Rivals.
Graham Simpson comes from football family
It might seem unusual that Graham received an offer, but he comes from a football family. His father, Jason, is the head coach at UT-Martin college in Tennessee.

The family has a running joke regarding Ty and Graham getting recruited by their dad, according to Rivals.
“When Ty started getting recruited in the eighth grade and as that process took off, Graham one day asked if he would be good enough to play for me at UT-Martin,” Jason Simpson said. “I said, ‘Yeah, Graham, you have an offer to UT-Martin and Ty doesn’t,’ so for years he threw that in Ty’s face.
Despite that, Ty is extremely supportive of Graham's future in football. If not for Ty's tweet, Graham's excellent pass may not have received the attention needed to secure an offer.
