Woman killed in Natomas crash ID’d; 4 remain hospitalized in Sacramento with serious injuries
One person died and four others were seriously injured Wednesday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash in a Sacramento residential neighborhood near Interstate 80.
The crash was reported about 2:20 p.m. in the area of Barandas Drive and Sweet Maple Way in the Willowcreek neighborhood of Natomas just south of West El Camino Avenue.
Officers arrived and found multiple occupants of the vehicle with serious injuries, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

Medics from the Sacramento Fire Department arrived at the scene. Police said one of the vehicle occupants was pronounced dead at the scene. Four others, who had suffered serious injuries in the crash, were taken to hospitals.
On Thursday morning, the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified the fatal victim as Marryam Naeem, a 27-year-old resident of Sacramento.
