Somebody not named Russell Westbrook was making it rain in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, and his wallet gained a little bit of weight because of it.
After winning the opportunity to chuck a shot from half court during halftime of the Thunder’s final home game of the season, Tiandre Nichols heaved up a prayer that was right on line, but a little strong. After plunking it off the rim, the ball took a couple crazy bounces off the backboard and rim before falling in for a $20,000 prize for Nichols.

OKC dropped the game by six, but this made it all better. With Westbrook sitting out to rest up for a tasty first-round tilt against James Harden and the Houston Rockets, someone else had to steal the show for a night before the two MVP candidates take over.
