Walker suffered a concussion against TCU on Oct. 1 and there were rumors swirling he left the team then.

Walker was a preseason All-Big 12 selection after posting five sacks and 10 tackles for loss as a redshirt sophomore a year ago. However, concussions have been an issue. He missed last year’s Orange Bowl because of a concussion and only played in four games this year because of the injury.
This isn’t a huge surprise, especially with Walker’s concussion history. And while it’s a blow to the Sooners, they’ve gotten along well without him. Remember, it was a just a year ago that many speculated that LSU running back Leonard Fournette should sit out this season in order to preserve himself. While he’s had a decent season, he’s also been hampered by injuries that could hamper his draft stock.
