Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu came off the bench as South Korea struggled into the last 16 of the Asian Cup, while winger Yang Hyun-jun was an unused substitute.

Jurgen Klinsmann's side were heavy favourites against a Malaysia side with no points and no points from their opening two games, but were only able to draw 3-3 after a dramatic goal in the 105th minute from Malaysia's Romel Morales.

Having fallen 2-1 behind, South Korea thought they had won it in injury time through Son Heung-min's penalty, but there was to be one final twist.

South Korea remain unbeaten in the tournament with one win and two draws from their group campaign, but this result will have come as an enormous shock to Klinsmann and his players.
