National Alliance on Mental Illness Southwestern Illinois (NAMI SWI) — 7-8:30 p.m. Online via Zoom. Virtual support meetings for family members and other caregivers of individuals with mental illness. Meetings are peer-led and rely on the knowledge and experiences of the group to help one another. On Wednesday, Dec. 1, the Fairfield Inn officially celebrated their first year in operation with the support of the O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce. A ribbon cutting event took place at the Fairfield Inn located at 1180 Central Park Drive in O’Fallon. “We’re excited to finally be celebrating with the community” said John Van Cleave, vice president of operations for HMA Hotels and representative for Regency Park Investors, LLC, owners of the new Fairfield property. “The O’Fallon area has a great blend of opportunities that bring guests from out of town including the Family Sports Complex, local businesses, and nearby universities.”

Holiday Hilltop 5K and Fun Run — 9 a.m. Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 205 Rasp St., Shiloh. This year’s beneficiary is Ford Kelly Braxmeier, who was born July 11, 2020, and was transferred to St. Louis Children’s Hospital where he was placed on a ventilator and diagnosed with Chronic Lung Disease.
