Report: Jazz's Mike Conley Jr. in lineup for Game 3 vs. Nuggets after leaving bubble

The Utah Jazz will have Mike Conley Jr. back in the lineup for Game 3 on Friday, per a report by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Conley returned home to Ohio on Sunday for the birth of his son, Elijah, and came back to the bubble late Monday after the Jazz dropped Game 1 of their first-round playoff series with the Denver Nuggets. Anyone leaving the bubble must quarantine for a minimum of four days before re-joining his team.

He is expected to clear quarantine and be in the lineup for Game 3, which tips off at 4 p.m. ET from ESPN’s Wide World of Sports. The series is tied 1-1, with the Jazz being a +1 underdog in Game 3 at BetMGM.

Conley left the bubble the day before the playoffs began and missed a thrilling game 1. The Nuggets won in overtime, 135-125. It was a back-and-forth final few minutes of regulation until a rare eight-second violation by the Jazz’s Donovan Mitchell helped determine the game. He put up 57 points, third-most in a playoff game, and the Nuggets’ Jamal Murray scored 18 points.

The Jazz tied the series on Wednesday with a 124-105 victory. Mitchell scored 30 points with eight assists.

Conley averaged 14.4 points and 4.4 assists per game in his 13th NBA season. He was averaging 18 points and five assists in the bubble.
