North Carolina coach Larry Fedora did a big favor for a UNC student on the morning of her graduation.

Fedora was on his way to campus on Saturday morning when he drove past Scarlett Murphy, who was walking to her UNC Medical School commencement ceremony in a full cap and gown. She was more than a mile from campus, so Fedora, who saw her struggling with the walk in her high heels, offered her a ride.

“There was no way she was going to make it all the way to campus in those high heels,” Fedora told the News & Observer. “I’ve got three daughters and a wife.”

Murphy, along with her father, recognized Fedora and were happy to hop in.

She described her gratitude in an Instagram post:

“Graduation hero of the day is Coach Larry Fedora, who saw me hiking up Columbia in some killer heels and graciously offered to drive me to my graduation,” she wrote.

But things didn’t end there. Murphy suddenly realized she forgot to bring her family’s graduation tickets. That wasn’t an issue for Fedora, who offered to chauffeur them back to her house.

“He then drove my family back to my house to pick up the tickets I forgot (oops) and drove them back to campus to make it to the ceremony in time,” Murphy wrote. “What a great guy, and what a special way to end a great four years at Carolina.”

How cool is that? Well done, coach.
