North Carolina Central beats Delaware State 54-43

DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Jeremy Ingram scored 20 points to lead North Carolina Central to a 54-43 win over Delaware State in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game on Saturday, the Eagles' eighth consecutive victory.
The winning streak ties the eight-game run from the 1996-97 season.
Stanton Kidd had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles (14-7, 7-0).
Casey Walker and Amere May had 11 each for the Hornets (9-11, 4-2), who had won three in a row.
The Eagles shot 53.8 percent from the field (21 of 39) and outrebounded the Hornets 32-21. The Hornets shot 19 of 50 from the field.
North Carolina Central also outshot Delaware State from the foul line, hitting 9 of 14 to Delaware State's 3 of 12.
The Eagles outscored the Hornets 30-22 in the paint and 12-2 on fast-break points.
