No surprises! Arsenal and Wolves name XIs for opening game

Arsenal and Wolves kick off their Premier League campaigns on Saturday afternoon when they face off in north London.

Jurriën Timber is fit again after a year on the sidelines but understandably starts on the bench, as does marquee summer signing Riccardo Calafiori.

For Wolves, Gary O’Neil confirmed that Matheus Cunha is all but recovered from the injury he suffered during pre-season but he doesn’t start.

Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Partey, Ødegaard; Saka, Havertz, Trossard.

Wolves: Sá; Doherty, Mosquera, Toti, Aït-Nouri; Lemina, J Gomes, Bellegarde, R Gomes; Larsen, Hwang.

The Gunners have won the last six straight meetings between these sides.
