Nick Nurse's response to trending on Twitter may be better than what he did to get there

There’s no doubt that Nick Nurse is a character.

The first-year head coach for the Toronto Raptors has shown up to games rocking incredible suit jackets and provided plenty of entertaining, animated moments during games as well as after.

During Game 4 of the Raptors first round clash with the Orlando Magic, his reaction to a three in the key call against Fred VanVleet in the opening quarter was captured by a camera operator and instantly blew up online.

(Of course it did. The moment was priceless!)

I’m no mathemagician or anything, but by my count his mouth sat ajar for about 11 seconds — an eternity in meme culture.

As a result, shortly after it happened he was trending on Twitter in Canada.

And while all of this was hilarious, his response to finding that out was also great.

“Is that a good thing?” he asked after hearing the news.

Well, Nick, usually it’s not. In fact, it usually means you’ve died or might find yourself behind bars for an extended period of time in the near future.

The Raptors won the game 107-85 to grab a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-seven series.
