Nick Nurse gets an amazing homecoming reception from Raptors fans

Hundreds of fans lined up to welcome home the NBA champions upon arrival at Toronto Pearson Airport on Saturday night.

Nick Nurse, who is celebrating an NBA title after his first season as a head coach, went out of his way to thank the many Raptors fans with a wholesome high five line that stretched seemingly forever.

It’s a super classy move from the Raptors head coach, who has presumably had a couple of long days since the Raptors closed out the NBA Finals in Game 6. No word on where Nurse’s guitar was when he walked off the plane, but it may have been the perfect opportunity for a spontaneous rendition of “We Are The Champions” on home soil.

Fans will have another chance to show their appreciation for the champions on Monday, when the title parade is expected to draw thousands of jubilant supporters.
