Nicholas Desiderio Commits To Providence

New Jersey Rockets forward Nicholas Desiderio has committed to Providence; it was announced Monday.

The North Caldwell, N.J. native has recorded 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 10 games this season for the Rockets 16U AAA team. He's also played four games for the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the USHL, picking up one assist.

A 2008-born skater, Desiderio often uses his six-foot-one frame to his advantage, protecting the puck when on his stick. Additionally, he's a high-IQ player in every facet of the game.

Desiderio is now the sixth 2008-born player to commit to play for the Friars.
