No. 1 Star: Alexander Radulov, Montreal Canadiens

The New Alexander Radulov now has five points in six games with Montreal, scoring a goal and two assists in their 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. He assisted on goals by Shea Weber and Brendan Gallagher. Montreal is now 5-0-1. Said Radulov of his goal and celebration: “I don’t know how to say, I got this tickle … Yeah, goosebumps.”

No. 2 Star: Brian Elliott, Calgary Flames

The goalie who helped the St. Louis Blues to defeat the Chicago Blackhawks in the playoffs last season turned in a 31-save performance to beat them on Monday night, 3-2. That included six saves in the 3-on-3 overtime before he made a few more in the shootout.

No. 3 Star: Kris Versteeg, Calgary Flames

The former Blackhawk (twice!) won the shootout for the Flames in the seventh round with a little forehand-backhand-forehand action.

Honorable Mention: Jakub Voracek scored his third of the season in the Flyers’ loss. … Brian Campbell scored his first goal in his reunion with the Blackhawks, tying their game at 4:12 of the third period, unassisted.

Did You Know? The Canadiens have won 12 straight home games in the month of October since a 2-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 26, 2013.

Dishonorable Mention: T.J. Brodie and Deryk Engelland were a minus-2. … The Blackhawks’ penalty kill gave up two more power-play goals, and is now at 46.1 percent on the season, worst in the NHL. … Alex Galchenyuk was 1-for-10 on faceoffs.
