Karlsson’s bad angle shot snuck through bodies and off the back of Henrik Lundqvist with 4:11 left in regulation, giving the Ottawa Senators a 2-1 Game 1 win over the New York Rangers.

No. 2 Star: Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins

Crosby’s two goals in 52 seconds in the second period gave the Penguins a 2-0 lead, en route to a hard-fought 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals in Game 1.

No. 3 Star: Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers

The King made 41 saves in the Rangers’ 2-1 loss to the Senators, continuing his stellar postseason.
