If NHL players had to get a face tattoo, what would they get?

There are many hot button topics surrounding the NHL with the regular season less than a month away. Talks about an Erik Karlsson trade, Nate Schmidt’s suspension and unsigned restricted free agents have kept hockey fans entertained while they wait for the puck to drop on Oct. 3.

Unfortunately, there is one fascinating topic that hasn’t received the attention that it deserves amongst the sport’s elite: face tattoos.

This has been quite the trend in the rap game.

Generational talents such as Lil Pump, Lil Xan and 6ix9ine have recently been covering their faces like unsupervised toddlers with a pack of markers. This begs the question: what’s stopping hockey players from doing the same?

During BioSteel Camp in Toronto at the end of August, we asked some of the game’s brightest stars what they would get if forced to have a face tattoo.

Tom Wilson, Ryan O’Reilly and Max Domi are only some of the players that told us about their design plans.
