July 27 (The Sports Xchange) - The Detroit Red Wings agreed to terms with goaltender Petr Mrazek on a two-year contract Wednesday just before the arbitration hearing. The deal is worth a reported $8 million. Mrazek will receive $3.85 million this season and $4.15 million in 2017-18. - - The Tampa Bay Lightning avoided arbitration and re-signed forward Vladislav Namestnikov to a two-year contract worth $1.9375 million per season. Namestnikov, 23, was a restricted free agent and the two sides had an arbitration hearing scheduled for Friday. He made $874,000 last season. - - The Ottawa Senators avoided arbitration with Mike Hoffman after the forward agreed to terms on a four-year, $20.75 million deal. Hoffman was scheduled to have an arbitration hearing in Toronto on Aug. 4. - - The Nashville Predators signed forward Calle Jarnkrok to a six-year, $12 million contract. Jarnkrok will make $1.7 million next season, $1.8 million in 2017-18, $2.1 million in 2018-19, $2.2 million in 2019-20 and 2020-21, and $2 million in 2021-22. - - Carolina Hurricanes coach Bill Peters signed a two-year contract extension that runs through the 2018-19 season. Financial terms were not disclosed by the team for the 51-year-old Peters, who helped Carolina record five more wins and 15 additional points in 2015-16 than the previous campaign.
