April 18 (The Sports Xchange) - All-Star defenseman Shea Weber of the Nashville Predators did not make the trip to Chicago with his teammates on Saturday and will miss games three and four of their Western Conference playoff series against the Blackhawks. Weber sustained a lower-body injury during the second period of the game Friday night and did not return. Predators center Mike Fisher, who left the opening game because of a lower-body injury, made the trip but remains day-to-day. The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1 heading into Game Three on Sunday at the United Center. - - - Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said goalie Scott Darling will start Game Three against the Predators. Quenneville said Darling will get the start over Corey Crawford. Darling relieved Crawford in Game One after Crawford allowed three goals on 12 shots and Darling stopped all 42 shots he faced in the Blackhawks' 4-3 double-overtime victory. Darling played 67:44 in the game, the longest relief appearance in a Stanley Cup playoff game without allowing a goal, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Crawford was back in goal to start Game Two on Friday night and allowed six goals on 35 shots as the Blackhawks lost 6-2. - - - Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll was released on $5,000 bond from Clark Country Detention Center after being arrested Friday in Las Vegas on suspicion of possession of drugs, KSNV-TV of Las Vegas reported. Las Vegas Police said Stoll was arrested at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. Multiple reports indicated that he was charged with cocaine possession. "We are aware of police reports out of Clark County, Nevada regarding Jarret Stoll," the Kings said in a statement. "Our organization is concerned and has begun conducting a thorough internal investigation. While we continue to actively gather facts, we are withholding further comment at this time." Stoll, an unrestricted free agent, has played for the Kings since 2008 and was a member of their Stanley Cup championship teams in 2012 and 2014. - - - Calgary Flames coach Bob Hartley was fined $50,000 for his role in a skirmish late in regulation in the team's 4-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Friday night, the NHL announced. A heated brawl resulted in six game misconducts and 132 combined penalty minutes. The NHL also announced that the game misconduct assessed to Flames defenseman Deryk Engelland for instigating a fight in the last five minutes of regulation has been rescinded.
