May 22 (The Sports Xchange) - Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Matt Carle will not play Friday night against the New York Rangers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference finals in St. Petersburg, Fla. Carle was ruled out with an undisclosed injury on Friday morning after he was shaken up during a collision with New York's Derek Stepan during Game 3 on Wednesday. The Lightning won 6-5 in overtime to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven. The 30-year-old Carle had not missed a playoff game this year. He has two points and is averaging 16:35 of ice time during the 2015 postseason. In 59 regular-season games, Carle had four goals and 14 assists. --- The Chicago Blackhawks recalled defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. The 23-year-old van Riemsdyk notched one assist in 18 games in his first professional season with the Blackhawks. The Middletown, N.J., native also collected three assists in eight regular-season games with Rockford. --- The Minnesota Wild agreed to terms with Finnish forward Michael Keranen on a two-way contract for the 2015-16 season. Keranen, 25, tallied 37 points (10 goals, 27 assists) in 70 games during his first season of hockey in North America with the Iowa Wild in the American Hockey League in 2014-15.
