Another chapter will be inscribed in the already lengthy career of ageless wonder Jaromir Jagr.

At the ripe age of 46, the hockey legend will hit the ice in 2018-19 in what will be his 30th year of professional hockey.

After proving that he was no longer capable of keeping up in the NHL last season, it seemed likely that the veteran forward would retire from hockey after finishing up his season with HC Kladno of the WSM Liga — the Czech’s second-tier league. Instead, he has decided to return to the Kladno Knights on a one-year deal.

The move is also a surprise considering Jagr suffered a concussion on an absolutely brutal check from behind last season.

For most, it would have been a no-brainer to call it quits after putting themselves through 29 years of physical, gruelling hockey. But Jagr, who has a noted history of being a gym rat, is an exception to the rules.

Jagr also has strong ties to HC Kladno seeing as how he owns the team. And considering arenas around the Czech Republic were selling out whenever the former NHL star played, another season of skating and selling tickets is not a bad idea.
