NFL training camp 2022 tracker: Browns C Nick Harris 'likely' needs season-ending knee surgery

It looks like Cleveland Browns center Nick Harris will be out for the year after injuring his knee during Friday night's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski spoke to the media on Saturday and said that it's "likely" that Harris will need season-ending knee surgery, though the team will get a second opinion before making any decisions.

Harris' right knee appeared to give out on just the second play of the game. He tried to put weight on it, but wasn't able to and had to be carted off. He had an MRI on Saturday morning.

As for who could replace Harris, it might be a familiar face. JC Tretter was released by the Browns in March, and Harris, who was a fifth-round pick in the 2020 draft, was taking his place. Since Tretter hasn't signed with another team and remains a free agent, bringing him back into the fold might be the easiest option since he spent five seasons with the Browns and is already familiar with the team.
