May 1 (The Sports Xchange) - The Chicago Bears released veteran safety Antrel Rolle after one injury-plagued season with the team. Rolle, 33, played in just seven games due to ankle and knee injuries. He signed a three-year, $11.25 million deal as a free agent in March, 2015. Rolle didn't intercept a pass last season after accumulating 26 during his first 10 NFL seasons. The three-time Pro Bowler had a career-high six interceptions in 2013 with the Giants. - - - Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay hopes to get a contract deal done with quarterback Andrew Luck done as soon as possible, but backed off a bit on his earlier July 4th weekend timetable.
