The Chiefs will no longer play the Denver Broncos on Sunday Night Football in Week 14.

The NFL announced Tuesday night that the Chiefs-Broncos matchup set for Dec. 11 at Empower Field at Mile High has been flexed out of the prime-time spot and will now start at 3:05 p.m. Central Time.

The Miami Dolphins-Los Angeles Chargers game moved to Sunday Night Football in its place.

When the 2022 regular-season schedule first came out during the offseason, the Chiefs-Broncos matchup had plenty of intrigue. It featured Patrick Mahomes vs. Russell Wilson and what appeared to be an improved Denver team under new head coach Nathaniel Hackett.

Fast-forward to late November and the Dec. 11 contest — the first of two this season between the AFC West rivals — has lost a lot of interest.

While the Chiefs continue to roll with a 9-2 record and three-game lead in the division, the Broncos have been in a tailspin and enter Week 13 in last place in the AFC West at 3-8.

The Chiefs will play host to the Broncos in Week 17 at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.
