Yahoo Sports Broncos' Kareem Jackson says Deshaun Watson wants to play for Denver
Disgruntled Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has been aggressively recruited by Denver Broncos safety Kareem Jackson all offseason, and according to him, he has finally won over Watson.
During an appearance on the podcast "Catchin' Fades with Aqib Talib," Jackson said that he recently has been in touch with Watson, who told him that Denver is where he wants to be.

"I've got a great relationship with Deshaun; I've been talking with him the past couple of weeks, man," Jackson told Talib via the Houston Chronicle. "All he's been telling me is, 'Look, Jack. Just tell them, that's where I want to be.' He's like, 'That's where I want to be.' He's like, 'I want to be in Denver.'"
Jackson played for the Texans for nine years and was teammates with Watson for two years before he signed with the Broncos in 2019. He re-signed with Denver in March, and Jackson said that prompted Watson to tell him that he wants to be a Bronco.
"I signed back, and he said, 'Listen, man. I want to be in Denver,'" Jackson said.
Watson's future unclear
There was considerable chatter about a possible Watson trade in the first few months of 2021 after a report surfaced that Watson was unhappy and wanted out of Houston. That talk abruptly stopped in March after Watson was accused of sexual misconduct by nearly two dozen women. He's facing numerous civil lawsuits and an ongoing police investigation, and while Watson has admitted that he had sexual contact with some of his accusers, he insists that it was consensual. He has denied the allegations of sexual misconduct.
It's unknown what the Texans plan to do with Watson as training camp approaches. They signed QB Tyrod Taylor to a $6 million contract in March, and during a recent interview Taylor didn't try to hide that he'll be the Texans' starting quarterback when the season begins.
