NFL betting: Two-thirds of bettors like Cincinnati to cover on Thursday Night Football

Can the Cincinnati Bengals get to 3-1?

Bettors at BetMGM think so. The Bengals opened as 6-point favorites over the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of Thursday night’s game in Cincinnati and the line has moved up to 7.5 points. Just over two-thirds of tickets are on the Bengals minus the points and those tickets make up 63% of the handle.

The Bengals are also getting a lot of the moneyline cash. Half the moneyline wagers are on Cincinnati but those wagers make up 72% of the cash. The Bengals were -250 to beat the Jags straight up and that’s moved to -350 ahead of kickoff.

The over is the popular play as well even as the total has decreased from 47 at opening to 45.5 on the day of the game. Sixty-one percent of tickets are on the over and those tickets make up 66% of the handle.

Bettors have good reason to not believe in the Jaguars. Jacksonville is 0-3 overall and is also winless against the spread so far this year. Jacksonville has not come within a field goal of covering so far this year.

Cincinnati, meanwhile, is 2-1 against the spread. The Bengals only failed to cover in a 20-17 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 2.

The most popular prop bets at BetMGM involve the young stars on either team. Bettors like Jacksonville QB Trevor Lawrence and Cincinnati QB Joe Burrow each throwing two or more touchdowns. The odds of both players tossing two TDs tonight is at +200.

Rookie Cincinnati WR Ja’Marr Chase is at +800 to score the first touchdown of the game and is at +130 to score a TD at any point in a Bengals win.
